The National Highways Authority of India has announced that the FASTag Annual Pass fee will be revised from Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 3,075 with effect from 1 April 2026 for the financial year 2026–27. This revision has been made under the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008. FASTag Annual Pass Continues to Offer Value for Private Vehicle Owners

The FASTag Annual Pass remains available for eligible non-commercial vehicles with a valid FASTag and can be used at nearly 1,150 fee plazas across National Highways and National Expressways. The pass is designed to reduce the hassle of repeated recharges by allowing users to make a one-time payment for either one-year validity or up to 200 toll plaza crossings. With more than 56 lakh users already adopting this facility, the scheme continues to stand out as a practical and cost-effective solution for frequent travelers, private car owners, and daily highway users.

FASTag Annual Pass Activation Remains Quick and Simple

One of the biggest advantages of the FASTag Annual Pass is its easy activation process. NHAI has stated that after payment of the one-time fee through the Rajmarg Yatra App or the official NHAI website, the pass will be activated on the existing FASTag linked to the vehicle within two hours. Since its launch on 15 August 2025, the annual pass has received a strong response from users, showing that digital toll payment systems are becoming a key part of India’s highway travel ecosystem. Even with the revised fee, the pass is expected to remain highly relevant for those looking for convenience, faster toll movement, and better travel efficiency. (Press Information Bureau)
