Benefits for Frequent Commuters

Toll Savings

Frequent travelers, especially intercity office-goers and students, can save thousands annually by opting for this pass instead of paying at every plaza.

Seamless Travel

The pass aims to minimize waiting time at toll booths, reduce traffic bottlenecks, and streamline vehicle flow at national highway junctions.

Digital Convenience

With automated recharges, GPS tracking, and app-based renewals, users can manage toll transactions digitally—without paper receipts or cash.

Activation & Integration

The government is expected to release activation and renewal links around the launch date. Users can monitor updates on:

  • ugcnet.nta.ac.in (official reference for implementation)

  • Rajmarg Yatra App (downloadable on iOS and Android)

Future of Tolling in India

The annual pass is part of India’s broader Infrastructure Upgrade Plan that envisions:

  • Barrier-free tolling using GPS & sensor-based systems

  • No physical booths, only virtual checkpoints
